That principle guided a recent industrial microgrid for a cement plant in Chad, where seasonal variability and heavy inductive loads (a 4,957.5 kW peak and a single 633 kW motor start) demanded a robust hybrid solution rather than a purely renewable system. The recommended architecture: a 12.5 MW PV array, 10 MWh of lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) energy storage (two 5 MWh units, each rated at 2,500 kW), and two 2,800 kVA diesel generators reserved for emergency backup.

JNTech’s microgrids emphasize three technical pillars: a high-performance Power Conversion System (PCS) to manage bi-directional flows and motor start surges; an intelligent EMS that implements millisecond-level coordination with BMS/PCS for safe, economic dispatch; and rugged hardware—IP54/IP65 cabinets, active thermal management (-25°C to +55°C), and site-grade PV and mounting standards—to ensure long service life in harsh conditions.

For village and community deployments, JNTech applies a complementary, cost-sensitive strategy: compact storage (e.g., 112.6 kWh) paired with appropriately sized PV (≈148.5 kWp) to prioritize simultaneous generation and use while smoothing short-term fluctuations.
